Beginning Marriage Preparation
Congratulations on your engagement! If you are hoping to be married at one of the parishes in our pastorate, you must contact the main office at St. Thomas More at least 6 months prior to your planned wedding date to allow time for marriage preparation classes.
A wedding date will be tentatively reserved after the proposed date is approved by the pastor. To finalize a reservation, the couple must sign agreement to follow the pastorate wedding policy and drop off the necessary fees within two weeks of making the tentative reservation. If a couple is receiving marriage preparation outside of the All Saints Pastorate, contact from that parish must also take place before a wedding date can be finalized.
Our Policy on Reserving a Wedding Date
- First priority for reserving any of our parishes is given to registered, supporting members of that parish (and their children). Non-parish members may request a wedding date but cannot reserve more than a year before their requested date in deference to registered parishioners.
- Non-pastorate members desiring to reserve one of the churches in our pastorate should receive their marriage preparation at their home parish and arrange to have a priest from their home parish officiate.
- SDSU students should first contact the Pius XII Newman Center priest. He will offer marriage classes, assist in reserving the church, and perform the ceremony.
