BAPTISM

Holy Baptism is the basis of the whole Christian life, the gateway to life in the Spirit, and the door which gives access to the other sacraments.  Through Baptism we are freed from sin and reborn as sons of God; we become members of Christ, are incorporated into the Church and made sharers in her mission: "Baptism is the sacrament of regeneration through water in the word."

- Catechism of the Catholic Church 1213

Requirements for Scheduling a Baptism

To have a child baptized in the All Saints Pastorate, parents must be registered members of one our our pastorate parishes and have attended the required baptism preparation Class.  Baptism class is held every 3rd Thursday of the month at 6:30pm in the Social Hall at St Thomas More.  The class is required only for the parents' first child baptized in the pastorate or if it has been a significant number of years between children being baptized.  After these requirements are met, a baptism date can be scheduled by contacting the St. Thomas More parish office.

Dates of upcoming Baptismal Preparation Classes are listed below. Please call 605-692-4361 or email secretary@stmbrookings.org to sign up to attend.  Class will not be held if there is no one signed up to attend.
