Volunteer Opportunities

Eucharistic Adoration

We have Eucharistic Adoration in the small Chapel from 7:30 AM on Thursday until 7:00 AM on Friday each week. You may commit to a regular time, be on a substitute list, or just stop in our chapel any time for personal prayer!  See the website tinyurl.com/STMAdoration to sign-up if you can commit to a regular time.


Little Parishes / Guild

When you register in the parish, each family is assigned to a “Little Parish” or Guild. Each of the six Little Parishes are scheduled on a rotating basis to help with the following:  Coffee and Rolls on Sunday Morning, Funerals, and Special Events such as our Annual Turkey Dinner.  If you have not been contacted and would like be involved, contact the parish office.

Catholic Daughters of the Americas (Ct. St. Agnes #618)

Catholic organization for women 18 years of age and older, dedicated to doing God's will as His hands and feet on earth.  We accomplish this through prayer, charitable works, education, spiritual enhancement and many other activities.  Click here for more information.

Knights of Columbus

Catholic fraternal organization dedicated to promoting and conducing educational, charitable, religious, and social works, rendering mutual aid and assistance to sick and needy members and their families.

Rosary Makers

Learn how to make Rosaries! Rosaries given to missions, RCIA, First Communion Class, etc.

Food and Fellowship Suppers

Help serve the Food and Fellowship Suppers each Wednesday during the school year from 5:15-7:00pm.

Volunteer to Help at Masses

Training is provided for all ministries.  ​Volunteers are scheduled 2- 4 times per quarter, depending on preferred Mass times. Contact the Parish Office to volunteer: 605-692-4361.  


Usher

Greet people before Mass, help to seat people,  help take up collection and dismiss rows for Communion


Lector

Read Scriptures and Prayer Intentions at Mass


Extraordinary Minister of Holy Communion

Distribute Holy Communion at Mass


Mass Servers

Grade 3 and above - Training sessions are held in the fall as part of Religious Education


Sacristan

Help set up Communion vessels and clean up after Mass 


Nursing Home & Homebound Ministry

Bring the Eucharist to those who are homebound or in nursing homes.

Collection Counter Team

There are six teams that rotate to count and deposit the collections each weekend.  New teams and subs are always welcome!

Join our Music Ministry

STM Choir

Open to high school & college youth and adults. Sings at 8:30 am Mass (3 Sundays of the month) and rehearses Wednesday evenings from 6:00-7:00 pm in the Sanctuary. STM Choir sings a variety of musical styles including traditional and contemporary 4-part repertoire under the direction of Dr. Laura Diddle-Hildebrant.


STM Youth Choir

Open to children in grades 2nd-8th.  Sings during one Sunday 10:30 am Mass per month and special programs/Masses.  Rehearses Wednesday afternoons from 2:30 (snack time in social hall first) to 3:45 pm.  Sings a variety of traditional and contemporary selections under the direction of Sara Olson.


Pianist/Organist

If you play piano or organ and would be interested in using your gifts during liturgies, please contact Sara Olson.


Cantor

Announce and lead songs and sung Mass parts during Saturday 5:00 pm and Sunday 8:30 and 10:30 am Masses.


Maintaining our Church Building and Grounds

Landscape Maintenance Group

Helps with trimming and maintenance of landscape around our complex
